Rathinam Global Deemed to be University Hosts “Anugraha” Special Event to Welcome First-Year Students

Rathinam Global Deemed to be University, Coimbatore, organized a special orientation programme, “Anugraha”, which marked the start of the academic journey for the first year undergraduate students of the university. This was done to welcome the new batch of students officially into the university and to motivate them to make the best of their student life at the university.
The programme was inaugurated by a welcome address by Mr. Krishnaraj, Registrar of Rathinam Global Deemed to be University. Mr. P. Nagaraj, In-charge Vice Chancellor presided over the event with good participation from the faculty members, the university officials, and the students.
Mr. Madan A. Senthil, Chairman, Rathinam Group of Institutions and Chancellor, Rathinam Global Deemed to be University, stated that education is not about getting good marks, while speaking at the event. He emphasized the importance of students’ learning to gain knowledge, gain skills, and plant innovation. He also mentioned the university’s innovation ecosystem and pointed out that its incubation centre is one of the 10 best incubation centres in India. Every effort was made to encourage students to be active in skill development programmes, sports activities and co-curricular activities to make them well-rounded professionals.
Students were inspired to pursue lifelong learning and self-improvement with the motivational address from Mr. Erode Mahesh, a motivational speaker. He said that education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and society, recommending students to leave their comfort areas and utilize their early days in higher education to help them create a successful future.
On the occasion Mr. R. Manickam, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rathinam Group encouraged the students to develop perseverance, discipline and lifelong love for learning. He urged them to make maximum use of the University facilities, clubs and resources to create successful careers.
The orientation programme “Anugraha”, which was completed on an inspiring note, gave valuable inputs, motivation, and a clear vision of the University’s goals of academic excellence, innovation and holistic development to the first year students.
