At its core, the department seeks to develop and provide world-class research tools and facilities that empower scholars and researchers to explore and solve complex biological challenges. Our research initiatives are strategically aligned to equip students with specialized skills in core areas of biotechnology, enabling them to conceptualize and implement groundbreaking technologies with real-world applications. Emphasis is placed not only on technical excellence but also on fostering a deep sense of responsibility among students, encouraging them to uphold ethical values and environmental sustainability as future biotechnologists serving society. In keeping with the evolving needs of the state and the nation, the department actively promotes both traditional and modern dimensions of biotechnology. Our research also extends to community-based and livelihood development programs, ensuring that innovations contribute to inclusive growth and societal welfare.
